Architects hold a special place in world culture, creating structures that capture the imagination, seem to defy gravity and leave a visitor with a sense of awe. As purveyors of boundless artistry, their ideas materialize in not only practical, but in many cases, magical, structures.

One of the most exciting architects working today is Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio, a firm in London currently being featured in an exhibit at New York’s Cooper Hewitt Museum which runs through January 3.

Entitled Provocations, the exhibition is, in a word, thrilling and each project on display is exciting and inspiring to view and study. This show is one not to be missed!
