20 Nov Pop Goes the Kernel
For those who love popcorn (and who doesn’t?!), I discovered what has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen items, the Lekue popcorn popper. This amazingly simple and fun product pops perfectly light, airy popcorn in a microwave with consistently excellent results.
Made of light-weight silicone in a zippy, orange-red color with a transparent silicone lid, this little wonder is beautifully designed in a shape that is easy to hold and carry and also cleverly compresses down for easy storage.
The Lekue also comes with a charming instruction booklet that includes delightful photos and recipes for creative popcorn variations based on movie genres, such as Bollywood with hints of garlic and curry, Fantasy with parsley, basil and rosemary and Adventure with olive oil, honey and peanuts.
The process couldn’t be easier. Simply drop the popcorn into the fully expanded bowl with other ingredients (as desired), place the lid on top, put into the microwave and cook on high for 3-5 minutes. As soon as the popping slows down remove from the microwave and enjoy!
The Lekue popcorn maker is available at their own website. I highly recommend it. Once you try it, you’ll be eating popcorn every day!
