10 Jul Renaissance Skies
I recently attended an outdoor concert performed by the New York Philharmonic in Brooklyn’s beautiful Prospect Park. Hundreds of people gathered on the ball fields with blankets and picnic fare to listen to Strauss, Smetana and Tchaikovsky while the sky turned painterly shades a Renaissance artist would have envied.
The show was followed by an impressive fireworks display and the best part was the admission price. Free! These concerts are performed throughout the summer in all the boroughs and I highly recommend them. It’s a great way to bond with the local community and experience a warm, relaxed evening of culture. You won’t be disappointed. Learn more at New York Philharmonic.
