Completing the look are current and historical photos of theatre luminaries donning the walls in the main dining room which, with its retro seating and tile flooring, harkens back to eateries of old while firmly trenched in the modern with big glass windows and jaunty plants.
In addition to the dining room downstairs, there is a small jewel-box cocktail bar upstairs done in a beautiful floor to ceiling cobalt blue featuring cabinets full of prop and costume pieces. Even a trip to the restroom is a decorated affair with special detailing—all in reverence to the world of the theatre. The star attraction, however, is the Starchild Rooftop Lounge featuring two terraces offering views of the city skyline or a burning sun setting over the Hudson River.
Rosevale Kitchen in the perfect pre-theatre dinner stop. They offer a fantastic three course prix-fixe menu for the price of $52.00 which is great value for the money. I had dinner here before a performance of A Doll’s House at The Hudson Theatre and was quite pleased with the meal. The staff is gracious and attentive and efficient with curtain times.
