Take Note

While on a recent visit to the design district in Philadelphia, I stopped in at Parisa Rugs and Décor and found a beautiful collection of stationery by designer Christian Lacroix.

Having stayed at the stunning Hotel Le Bellechasse in Paris where all the interiors were designed by Monsieur Lacroix, I was excited to see the same aesthetic he employed at the hotel in a line of writing instruments, small notes, blank books, stationery and small desk items.

With his characteristic cacophony of color, pattern, texture and clashing concepts, the stationery is dramatic, witty and strikingly beautiful in its execution and packaging.

I picked up a box of cards as well as a journal book—the wide selection of products was.b so attractive I could have purchased the entire line!

Each card is unique with its own array of flowers and a different bird!

The materials feel luxurious and make the act of writing a card a special occasion not only for the writer but the receiver as well.

This close-up view of the journal book's embossed cover displays a lively pattern.

So if you’re looking for an indulgent experience when sending a note, making a quick reminder on a sticky pad or writing a journal entry, Christian Lacroix stationery is simply magnifique!
